At the Innovation Circuit Event hosted by MetLife & 17Triggers in Singapore December 2016, traditional MFIs in Asia were exposed to a new way of thinking and doing marketing: human-centered design (HCD) including main exercises such as customer journey mapping, ideation and prototyping. By joining this event, the two OPTIX institutions, CEP and SAJIDA Foundation not only learned new knowledge but also networked with other similar institutions in the region and understand more about each other’s work in the industry. After the workshop, CEP was inspired to incorporate this new approach to their work thus worked with 17Triggers again to carry out a similar workshop for their own staff.
